Winter Grand Prix 2020/21

The Winter Grand Prix is a popular part of the Stragglers calendar, usually made up of cross-country fixtures. With it still unclear what races (if any) will take place this winter, and following the successful Summer Grand Prix made up of virtual races, we will continue this format over the coming months. Currently we are able to confirm the first four fixtures which are listed below, we will add to this as other events become available. The club cross country, planned for early December was postponed and we hope will still be a part of the Winter Grand Prix early in 2021.
Fixture 1 - 5K Club Handicap - Thursday 26 November
Fixture 2 - 5k and 10k pod race - Saturday 19 December, Bushy Park. To register please click here
Fixture 3 - Virtual Cabbage Patch 4 miles - to be completed between Monday 21 December and Monday 28 December.
Fixture 4 - Virtual Tadworth 10 miles - to be completed between Sunday 3 January and Sunday 10 January 2021
More fixtures, no more than 10, TBC.
Scoring:
All participants receive a minimum of 10 points. First place is awarded 25 points on top of this with 2nd place 24, continuing down to 1 for the runner in 25th. Your score is worked out from your best four performances across the season. To be in contention for age category and overall leaderboard recognition you need to have completed a minimum of four events.
