Female Runners Wanted for St Mary's Research
Posted by Alan Mawdsley on 9 March 2020
A student at St Mary's is carrying out a research programme to analyse how taurine affects fat oxidisation, and the difference between male and female runners. They need more female participants and are looking for fit, female athletes who can run 5k in 25 minutes or less.
The benefit to you is that, as part of the programme, you will undergo the same baseline VO2max testing as the elite athletes and this will give you the optimal pace for your different training zones, and so make your training more effective.
