PAH Lockdown Challenge

During the (first) lockdown, The Minis, Juniors, Parents and SRJRG (Junior Handicap) Team undertook the 1000 Mile Challenge to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice. Not content with this, they also took part in the 2.6 Challenge (April Marathon Day). In total, they raised a whopping £879.60 for this very worthy local cause. This is a tremendous effort by all concerned. Well done!
Merran received a letter from the PAH which explains what they will be able to do with the money. They said....
"We know that we can't prevent death, but we will do everthing we can to make it as good as possible. With your help, taking the time and effort to fundraise for us, you are helping to make this happen. You should feel proud of this achievement and appreciated the effect your fundraising will have on the patients and families for whom we care. I would like to give you some examples of the areas your £879.60 could help:
- 14 visits to a patient at home by a Rapid Response Nurse, or
- 64 physiotherapy sessions, or
- 34 family visits to our Dovetail bereavement support group for children"
