River Relay Date and Details Confirmed

The Stragglers have confirmed the date for the 2021 River Relay. It will take place on Sunday September 5th.
The race is run over 5 stages, following the Thames Path from Boveney Church near Windsor to the Hawker Centre in Ham, with a total distance of 26.2 miles. As in previous years, teams must feature one female and one vet, we hope this gives an opportunity for clubs to put runners together who may not normally share a team.
Like all race organisers we are preparing for a range of situations, and believe it will be practical to run the race with wave starts if there remain distancing regulations in September.
We have also decided to set the entry limit to 70 teams, however have the flexibility to increase this should circumstances and interest allow.
For teams from other clubs, we are currently contacting recent entrants, but if you would like to register your interest please email riverrelay@stragglers.org. A link to a form will be emailed, where team managers can enter runners and amend team details.
For members of the Stragglers, I will be looking after our teams and will recruit via Stragmail and social media in the coming weeks. Leaders from our various training groups are welcome to organise their own teams (as in previous years) but please contact me on simonwebb79@gmail.com so I can ensure you are entered.
