Straggtri

We’d like to announce that we’ve taken the decision to put StraggTri on hold. Finding a pool to train in has proved impossible and some of our coaches feel this is the right time to focus on other commitments. Triathlon England have confirmed to us that we can pause affiliation and with fees for the coming year due the decision has been taken to rest StraggTri for the time being.
Six Straggtri athletes (Jackie Balfour, Helen Brett, Jan Franks, Julie Haworth, Helene Hill and Mark Pattinson) have competed for GB in their age groups at European and World championships in the last few years, with Helene Hill winning gold at the 2019 European Duathlon Championships. This is in addition to other Stragglers (such as Lynda Chase and Chrissie Glew) who have competed as members of other triathlon clubs.
The Stragglers would like to thank Barbara Crow for her leadership of StraggTri, and Mike Lapworth, Dave Olsen and Helene Hill for their professional contribution, hours of time and incredible commitment in energy and stamina given freely to StraggTri.
