Thames Turbo Sprint Triatholon

One of the aims of The Stragglers-Straggtri is to encourage people to take part in Triathlons. To help achieve this we have identified the Thames Turbo Triathlon (TTT) that takes place at Hampton Pool on Bank Holiday Monday 27 August as a good local event to enter.
The TTT is a great triathlon for beginners and experienced triathletes alike. It is a sprint triathlon so the distances involved are not daunting. The swim portion is only 426 metres in the heated outdoor pool at Hampton. The cycle portion is only 21.5 kms on local roads to Walton and back and the run section is 5 km in Bushy Park – what is there not to like?
The Stragglers-Straggtri are encouraging Stragglers to enter; especially novices. You can tap into the experience and knowledge of our 4 Triathlon coaches (Barbara Crow, Mike Lapworth, Dave Olsen and Helene Hill (plus the many other Straggler triathletes, too numerous to mention but you probably know who they are.)
To enter go to https://thamesturbo.com/. You will need a fairly accurate estimate of your 400-metre swim time and an estimate of your total time for the event. Enter your team name as The Stragglers-Straggtri. The event starts early so you’ll be done and dusted and home by mid-morning to enjoy the rest of Bank Holiday Monday!
